Your business cards design doesn’t need to be complex.  Unless you are an artist, designer, etc ... don’t get too funky with your design. Remember, that the most important part of your business card is to get your contact information across clearly.

Your business card should reflect your business. So, remember to select images and colors that support what you do. Placing an image of a puppy dog on your card might be cute ... But, if you sell houses, it just doesn’t work for you. People should be able to glance at you business card and have a relative idea of your profession.

What you should include on your business card.

  1. Company Name
  2. You Name
  3. Phone Number  (both office and cell)
  4. Email address
  5. Web site URL

One of the most important things people forget is to include is a short point form list of the main products or services they offer. Unless your business name makes it completely apparent just what services or products you offer, you should include them on your business card.

If you have more to say, you can always use the back of the business card to include more information.

Personally, I like to keep the back of the business cards blank, so you can write notes or information on them, when required.

When it comes to printing your business card, you should always use professional print shop. Sure, you can buy a kit to print them on your home printer, but these always look “homemade”. With the cheap deals available through online professional printers, you can have your card printed by a pro, for almost the same price it would cost you to print them at home.
